Today, April 12, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis paid a visit to the Embassy of Poland to sign a book of condolences for the death of President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, his spouse Maria and Polish delegation in the plane crash on April 10.

The Prime Minister expressed the most sincere condolences to Jerzy Marek Nowakowski, Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Latvia.

In the book of condolences Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis wrote:”These days the Polish people experience severe and irreversible loss that indirectly correlates with the tragedy of World War II in Katyn, thus, making the current events even more painful. Latvia’s heartfelt sympathy is with you. Please accept our deepest respect, support and solidarity with Poland and all the people who experience pain and loss during these days.”
