The Baltic Prime Ministers agree on concrete cooperation at the sector level |
| On Friday, September 24, in Rīga, the working session of the Baltic Council of Ministers was held where the Prime Ministers of the Baltic countries familiarized themselves with the reports presented by the Ministries of Finance, Economics, Transport, Health, Environment and Defence of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on the most suitable forms of cooperation and tasks in the area of economy, security and regional cooperation in line with previously set priorities for economic stabilization of the Baltic countries and promotion of competitiveness, as well as security in the area of defence, energy, environment and strengthening of cooperation of the Nordic and Baltic countries. |

On Saturday, September 25, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis opened the annual international Usedom Music Festival (Germany). This year the Festival is dedicated to the works of Latvian artists and composers. 
On Thursday, September 23, in Rīga, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky and discussed bilateral relations of both countries, including the development of a contractual base and economic cooperation, especially in the area of transport and transit. The two officials also discussed the opportunities for further strengthening of the European Union – Belarus relations and other issues. 
On Tuesday, September 21, Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis met the new Ambassador of Estonia to Latvia Mati Vaarmann during his introductory visit.
